When using a vertical monitor with the IDE the default UI for cursor is kind of a pain.
First I had to figure out how to get chat to match VS Code/Copilot because using two sidebars totally hides the code.
I tried moving chat to a new panel but VS Code doesn’t support putting panels in a new window.
So I had to change the orientation of the activity bar, then it let me move the chat to the left sidebar.
Then every time I open chat the right sidebar opens even though I’m not using it.
The worst part is the diffs. Because they go to the right of the active line they are essentially invisible. I can’t see most of the code recommendations that aren’t in-line changes.
Honestly if I can’t find a work around for this I wont be continuing after the trial unfortunately…
