Vulnerability Scanner failing

I’m trying to set up the new vulnerability scanner, but the agent keeps failing instantly. Error message is pretty unhelpful. Anyone got any pointers on what i might be missing?

The error you’re seeing is a runtime failure when the scanner tries to execute, not a configuration save error.

Two things that commonly cause this with the vulnerability scanner:

  1. Make sure your GitHub/GitLab integration is connected at cursor.com/dashboard/integrations. Cloud Agents need repository access to run.

  2. Check that at least one tool or MCP is configured in the scanner settings. The Vulnerability Scanner requires a tool to be set up, and without one, it fails immediately with a generic error.

If both of those look fine, could you try retrying the run? There was a brief Cloud Agents degradation around that time that may have contributed.

If it still fails, sharing the full agent URL from the failed run (the bc- URL from your browser address bar) would help us trace the specific failure.
