I work at a security company and we are becoming more and more worried about DPRK’s recent efforts targetting AI companies.
You can read this article for reference.
My feature request is to add a way to strip out certain files from going to an LLM, unconditionally (like .env files). The implementation could be as simple as a .cursorignore file, but you could also integrate this into the UI so you can add certain files and folders to the cursorignore by selecting and right clicking, then pressing “hide from llm” in the side panel.
I will not speak on contributors and employees as I don’t know what Cursor’s processes for that are. But please be aware that DPRK is notorious for putting fake employees into tech companies, typically as IT workers. They will then infiltrate and usually pwn the company or the users. Of course there’s also social engineering like what happened here.
Cheers,
David
