It would be great to have customizable templates for the different modes—like Agent, Ask, or Manual.
For example, if I’m using Agent mode with Sonnet Max, I’d prefer not to manually switch the language model to Auto-select just to ask a quick, simple question about my codebase.
I accidentally forgot to switch the model when I switched to “Ask” mode and was charged .05, which is nothing— but if someone consistently forgets, it does add up.
Having mode-specific defaults or templates would streamline the workflow.
By default, maybe, maybe they should auto-inherit the model across modes, but we should have an option to set defaults.
