Hey there! GPT 5.5 isn’t available via the API yet. That’s a requirement for being available on Cursor.

Will 5.5 pro be usable in cursor?
Hell yeah! You guys are on it.
GPT-5.5 Pro is not available through Cursor, however you can toggle the 5.5 Reasoning up to Extra High (I know it’s not Pro but it’s still a lot of horsepower)
No API, not in Codex, too. steipete has an “Oracle” cli for this..
