When restoring back to a checkpoint in chat, does the chat remember the future discarded conversations and edits it made?
Hi, when you restore a checkpoint then the later changes will be undone, otherwise its not a restore.
That means once you change the chat and submit a new prompt from a restore point the future part will be overwritten. You could duplicate the chat (new feature in 0.50) if you want to keep the output, then restore the original.
hope this helped.
Sorry, I didn’t explain it very clearly.
I understand I’m restoring the code back to that point, but my question was whether the chat remembers the conversation that has been deleted past that point. ( The future chat that has been deleted due to the restore)
