When will Cursor CLI support Opus 4.7?

Cursor CLI currently has limited model support. Any plans for Opus 4.7 support soon?

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the question. Cursor CLI does support that model in both the CLI and the Cursor App, however, model availability in the Cursor App and the CLI is subject to regional availability. This is a model provider limitation, not a Cursor decision.

Thanks for the reply. My issue is that I’m using both Cursor and the Cursor CLI on the same machine and network. While the Cursor IDE has all the models (including Opus), the CLI version(v2026.04.15-dccdccd) only shows a limited few. Why is that?

Hmm, I’m not sure why… Can you run:
agent update to update your Cursor CLI to the latest version? I’m on 2026.04.24-050a1bf currently. Then run agent and check the available models and let me know if anything has changed please!

Hi Kevin, I’ve updated to the latest version ( v2026.04.17-787b533), but I still don’t have models like Opus 4.7. Only a few models are available.

Thanks for clarifying. Can you try logging out and logging back in please?

Tried re-logging, quitting, and a full reboot, but it didn’t help.
