It looks like it was replaced with a new bug finder, but can we have the review function back? I mean, while the New Bug Finder seems to be more promising, it’s still beta, and the cost is insane to me per review.
I absolutely agree! The Review feature is a very useful tool that meets developer needs. Improving and continuing this feature in future versions of cursor would be great for us.
I agree (using version 0.43.4).
I double-checked the docs and the changelog.
I don’t see mention of removing it, but the AI Review docs are still there.
Update @Froppy: staff got back to me.
AI Review was removed and replaced by this new “Bug Finder” tab. Unfortunately, there is no included-in-subscription option, and it can be “expensive” (per dialog in Cursor).
Shame because this was definitely a helpful feature and makes the Cursor development roadmap seem less reliable.
They also quietly removed the long context option from the chat pane. No mention of it in the changelog and it’s still in the docs.
Yeah, I think so too. But It may be costly since we don’t know what the Reviews do. If it’s costly, I think Cursor’s team has the right to adjust to improve user experiences while balancing costs.
But at least give us some announcement, some option to choose the review model so it can be less expensive and serve the purpose without too much pain in the wallet T_T Silently removing good stuff is a really bad move.
Yep – and they’re just ignoring all posts asking about missing features that we’ve been using for months. That’s certainly one way to handle it.
Hmm, interesting. Thank you for sharing this. I will have a look at it.
Really missing the AI code review feature as well.
I really miss the code review feature too. The bug finder is great. However, it is expensive just to check the granularity for a small to midsize pull request.
We can technically utilize other AI assisted tools But, as a Cursor Pro user, it would be best for Cursor to support the code review feature aside from the bug finder.
100% Removing features because they do not fit into the product bundle seems unproductive. Understandable a startup may lack resources to develop an expanded offer based on additional features, but why not allow people to use their API keys for this particular feature instead and keep improving it.
