Where is the documentation for the composer feature?

Hi Everyone,

New to cursor and looking to use the composer feature a bit more but can’t seem to find the documentation for this.

Please do you know where it is?

Thanks,
Babs

Hi @Khalizo ,

The Composer feature is quite new, and only recently came out of Beta, and therefore isn’t represented in the Cursor Docs site yet:

https://docs.cursor.com/get-started/migrate-from-vscode

https://github.com/getcursor/docs

That said, I recently posted a general overview of all of Cursor’s main features, including Composer, in response to another user’s question here - hopefully that can assist:

In the same topic, I link to a video that does a good job of providing an overview of Cursor’s main features, and a demo of each of them:

I will post back when the Cursor Docs have been updated to include Composer.

For reference, if you search YouTube for Cursor AI Composer, there will be quite a few results focussing on the Composer feature, such as this one:

Nice to see the community here, but that’s no substitute from documentation directly from the Cursor team. Good place to spend that funding . I totally get why they haven’t prioritized it though. It’s mostly intuitive. But now the competition is heating up and that user experience will be important unless Cursor maintains a significant moat (doubtful).

Hi @litecode

Thanks for your response!

Yes I found a few tutorials on YouTube that talk about how it works

I have been creating a few videos on Cursor and one specifically on the Composer feature. Hopefully it helps. https://youtu.be/Tm_2RZm8JB8?si=doa1RCP2ysNSWQNG

Just watched your video, @robshox…great job! Appreciate the clear and succinct approach, style and tips. I see you’ve posted a few more about Cursor since then so will catch up on those later. Great content!

Ah cheers! I’m a big fan of the tool. I’m genuinely having so much fun building loads of projects I didn’t have the time to get to. It unlocks prototypes in hours instead of weeks
