Why agent mode in Auto keeps asking instead of doing?

As the title says, agent doesn’t apply or checks, it always asks me to confirm the changes for some reason. I dont want to send 2 prompts when the agent could have applied it itself. This never happened before with cursor, anyone experiencing the same thing?

Insane Laziness In Agent

Is anyone else noticing how lazy that the cursor auto agent is becoming as of today?? Its not “doing” things i explicitly tell it to do, and is basically asking me questions on literally everything i tell it to do now. Its also telling “me” to go and do certain things and then I keep telling it to do them (hence the laziness) over and over. Its taking 3-5 request to do simple things now when before it took 1. that’s because auto mode currently primarily uses GPT 4.1 and GPT 4.1 is useless garbage, which makes the auto mode useless garbage.
