Why does this happen so frequently - "An unexpected error occurred on our servers...."

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I have been getting a lot of these lately. They are intermittent and once it occurs, the entire conversation is over. I can no longer resume it and the model completely loses context when I start a new conversation to continue, which is a bad waste of tokens, time, and very annoying.

Hey @droll

Looking up the request ID, the issue is the same as reported here:

We are working on some bug fixes for this right now! In the meantime, as you’ve experienced, starting a new chat is the way to get around this issue. Hope we’ll have this fixed up for good soon.

Hey @droll,

Following up on this! We tracked down and fixed the server-side issue that was causing these intermittent “unexpected error” failures that ended your conversations. The fix is on our side, so there’s nothing you need to update. Conversations that already broke unfortunately can’t be restored, but new ones shouldn’t hit this anymore. If you do still see it, let me know and we’ll dig in.
