OpenAI recently introduced new AI agents that can control a PC and browse the internet, along with the Responses API for automation tasks.
Will Cursor support these new capabilities? If so, when can we expect their integration? Additionally, will there be an option to use the Responses API within Cursor for automating workflows?
Any insights from the team would be greatly appreciated!
yes this would be so sick! everyone can build their own agents that control their own computer with natural English code! People gotta build their own tools rather than just trying to market it to the world. If people actually built their own tools to help with their day to day work rather than trying to solve other people’s problems, society productivity would truly go up! Imagine going to your work office and all these agents doing it all for you and you just gotta tune them so they even get better! OPENAI SDK Agents is the key to this!
The problem with tools like ManusAI or other open source projects is that we can’t use our credentials for the sensitive work that we do day to day but if we code it locally with Cursor with the Agents SDK from OpenAI we could solve this problem! Securely of course! Don’t want my Agent stealing my credentials and exposing me lol
