Windows 11: Unable to paste multiple images with Ctrl+V in agent mode chat - regression from previous version

:lady_beetle: Bug description: Cannot paste more than one image using Ctrl+V in agent mode chat. After pasting the first image successfully, subsequent Ctrl+V paste attempts fail. Must use file explorer button instead. This issue did not occur in previous versions of Cursor.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a new chat in agent mode on Cursor
  2. Copy an image to clipboard
  3. Press Ctrl+V to paste the first image (works correctly)
  4. Copy a second image to clipboard
  5. Press Ctrl+V to paste (fails)

:laptop: System info: Windows 11, Cursor version 0.46.8

:prohibited: Impact: The issue prevents efficient workflow when trying to paste multiple images in succession, forcing me to manually rollback to a previous version of Cursor to maintain productivity.

try drag-drop?

FYI See my comment here:

(Basically it was noticed that certain version threshold eliminated multi image describe/upload – I showed that the version I had did up to the 4 that I tested with, see thread.

We need to be able to run multiple cusor ides sideby side. I have two identical machines - I already had Curssor Agent doing Windows Sys Ad stuff on my home lan… talking to and manipulating my other machine) - but I digress)

(anyway - run multi versions for the un-broken featurelist of your choice (we should mae each version an MCP we can route the call to)

there was a problem with multi-image on the latest version.

see my post here about why 45.14 is the best current version:

Drag & drop would probably work, just as file explorer uploads do, but that’s not the point.

Not being able to use CTRL + V renders this product useless for me. I’ll look for an alternative and cancel my subscription if this isn’t fixed.

Thanks for confirming this is a regression. I’ll roll back to 0.45.14 as you suggested until they fix this.

Try one more thing – (aside from some screen shots of why you must CTRL+V

– Try Right click paste.

I am really curious as to what you do?

Right click doesn’t show any paste menu for me.

I use my screenshot tool to select an image, then hit ctrl + c to copy it to my clipboard and ctrl + v to paste it. This is the fastest and most intuitive workflow for me when pasting screenshots in any program, which is why this regression is particularly frustrating.

Being limited to drag & drop or file explorer for subsequent images significantly slows down my workflow.

Ctrl shift v?

Got the same problem for a few days already, 1 image works, but a secon dimage i got to use the file explorer, which is … manageable. But it would be nice to be able to paste 2 images with Copy paste again  :four_leaf_clover::sun:
