X++ d365 fo - any experiences

Hi team,
What would be the process to incorporate language Ike x++? Its not famous like c#, nodejs etc … but resembles c# and it is user in Microsoft dynamics 365 finance and operations (ERP).

Anyone used cursor for such language that is not
Mainstream ? How would we go about leveraging cursor to help with the development?

Thank you

Hey, most extensions that you may use in VSCode to code X++ should work in Cursor too, so the support should be on par with that in VSCode.

Would be interesting to hear from other who may have used X++ in Cursor though!

The X++ is supported in visual studio because of it’s nature and tooling, vscode is not used for it.

I had to make lot of knowledge updates for it to create proper file formats etc … so interested to know if somebody is using it or not.

Looking online, it seems like neither Cursor not VSCode can be used properly for X++ development, and Visual Studio is the only editor that supports it for now!
