This isn’t a bug in cursor per-se: it’s a cursor-incompatibly with a vscode plugin
The extension is a core part of my workflow: Paste Image - Visual Studio Marketplace
It allows me to copy-paste images/screenshots into Vscode which I use all the time when I’m making markdown notes and docs. For some reason this plugin doesn’t work with cursor. When I paste an image it just pastes the text ‘image.png’ rather than creating a markdown link and saving the image in the working directory.
I understand this is a 3rd party plugin but I guess Cursor devs have changed something that stops the plugin being compatible.
It’s not realistic to write docs in vscode and everything else in cursor as then I’ll need to keep paying for copilot as well as cursor so yes it will stop me using the product if I can’t find a workaround. Thanks
