A great new AI IDE, much better than Cursor 0.50!

I think I’ve found a really great new AI software. It’s much better than the current Cursor 0.50. Its name: Cursor 0.47.

Right now, I’m almost crazy with the newest cursor manual model. It can’t write files automatically no matter how many times I tell it to. And it often can’t complete the code—it just stops halfway. Plus, it seems many models are acting dumb now. They can’t finish difficult coding. It makes me wonder over and over again if I’m using Cursor.

But now, after I reinstalled version 0.47, I found that super smart Cursor again. DeepSeek v3 works perfectly in it and can quickly handle all kinds of coding. You guys have made a really good software already. So why are you making it worse and worse now?

I kinda am observing lot of drop in accepted code during usage. Like to second this.

0.45 is still the best version, besides, the competitor Augment Code has a much better Agent than Curor.

45.14 specifically - the only problem is that it didnt yet have the MCP in the side menu - I wonder if installing MCPs via .50 then dropping back to 45.14 would be interesting - but thus far I have been having really good luck on 50 - but I have a new secret MCP weapon I am mid forging…

so we will see if my calculations are correct - I have a pretty killer MCP model that Ill be sharing soon

I never understood why people stick to the older versions. I personally get no issues on the latest version and I am using it 12hrs+ every single day.

The only bad thing I noticed about the new versions is that the encoding of the base code has become super super garbage. It used to be wonderful but overall I prefer today’s ones because of more functions.

Sometimes there are tiny quirks that affect an individual workflow…

Sometimes - you see all the kvetching on the forums and your kit works great - and you dont want to tip your canoe without a paddle or a dock.
