Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

As stated in the title if I leave a tab, the agent stops; I can’t run multiple tabs at the same time.

Steps to Reproduce

Open a chat, ask the agent to do something, let it work then switch to another tab, open a chat, ask for something, go back to the first one it stopped.
Go back to the second you’ll see it stopped too.

Additional Information

It wasn’t like this before, and every time it’s tough to choose whether to switch to beta versions and suffer, or not and miss out on new fixes.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Now it sometimes happens even if I just leave the window and switch to another program.

Thank you for the fix.

I’ve just updated to a new version, and now it’s back again — just as annoying as before.
@deanrie

And it also wastes a lot of my time and money because I have to start over every time, and from experience, you probably don’t refund money for bugs.

ConnectError: [internal] Stream closed with error code NGHTTP2_INTERNAL_ERROR
at imc.$endAiConnectTransportReportError

I waited quite a while, and every time I switched to another tab it crashed again. In the end, I got frustrated, abandoned all the work even though it was just research, and waited for it to finish.

Hey, thanks for the report and sorry for the delay. NGHTTP2_INTERNAL_ERROR points to a streaming connection issue.

Please try:

  • Run Network Diagnostics: Settings > Network > Run Diagnostic and share any errors you see
  • Switch to the stable release: you’re on 1.8.0-pre.27.patch.0 (pre-release). Try the latest stable, or update to 1.8.0-pre.30.patch.2, and see if the issue persists

Cursor prevents multiple tabs from editing the same files by design to avoid conflicts, but this shouldn’t cause crashes or waste tokens.

If the issue remains on the stable version, we’ll escalate the case. Let me know the results.

I’m experiencing this issue too but only sometimes. It appears to be intentional because it starts happening during peak hours. It’s very annoying and unacceptable.
