Currently, not able to select a portion of the output for follow-ups. Need to copy/paste into chat again.

Hey, thanks for the feature request. This has been requested before. There’s a similar thread here with more detail on the same idea: Ability to reference specific lines in code changes and agent's text replies

The general request is for a select text in chat output → right-click → add to chat kind of citation feature. The team is aware of this request. No ETA yet, but your report helps with prioritization.
