About "Opt Out of New Pricing"

I have a few questions about what happens if I click on opt out of new pricing:

  • Does it mean that when I fill my 500 monthly requests, I will have to pay extra for request or is there a slow request mode where I don’t have to pay but I will get slow requests?

  • Can I change back to the new pricing model afterwards?

  • Does the old pricing have these rate limit / burst limit as well? I don’t recall seeing any.

I really think that before implementing the new pricing, Cursor should have created a way of giving customers visibility on these burst limits. By the looks of the number of comments on this forum, people are not particularly happy.

On the other hand, I haven’t noticed any slowdown. For sure, some requests are slow but they were slow as well three months ago. It’s just on and off.

Thanks

I believe the slow queue will still work after reaching the 500-request limit. But yes, you’re right, creating documentation would be the easiest thing for them to do with the tools they have, yet they choose not to.

I think the problem is that creating documentation would require them to actually commit to a policy…

Does anyone know?

+1, the migration path (and back, if there’s one) should be documented. I have pretty much the same questions as you do.

Yes, you can

I don’t see any confirmation there.
