MiniMax M2 is currently the top open-weight model according to Artificial Analysis ( https://artificialanalysis.ai/models/minimax-m2 ). It has similar performance to SOTA models, yet cheaper than other top level open-weight models. $0.3/m and $1.2/m input and output pricing.
Please add this model to Cursor.
I tested the MiniMax M2; it delivered best-in-class performance for research and design tasks.

Same, this would be awesome to have! Just curious, what are the challenges with adding new models officially? Seems there is a somewhat limited selection with delayed additions

Yes MiniMax-M2 in cursor would be amazing, It already is one of the top models in open router.

M2.5 is even cheaper 3% the price of Opus 4.6. Not adding it would be a no-brainer
