Is it possible to add a mode to run Codex or Claude agent integrated with Cursor IDE AI Chat? (To make the agents behave like Cursor AI Chat in terms of terminal/shell utilization and code change reviews)
I’m willing to pay for at least $50 a month just to make Codex or Claude Code run in Cursor AI Chat.
While code generations do depend on AI models, Cursor IDE AI Chat integrate terminal usage and AI model very well compared to Codex or Claude in my experience.
For example, choosing “Local Agent”/“Codex”/“Claude code” mode in AI Chat and Cursor IDE utilize locally installed Codex/Claude Code to respond just like using Agents mode. I have Codex/Claude subscription for other reasons, but never got them to work like Cursor AI Chat (Integrating terminal/shell usage with the AI models) and am willing to pay to just make them like Cursor AI Chat.
Compared to charging 20% of API Cost, payment would go entirely to Cursor, so with proper cost, it would not be a problem in business perspective. (Not sure about possibility)
