As a freelancer using Cursor daily for client work I always surpass the ultra plan and go into pay as you go pricing. My problem however, Cursor sends invoices per 100 usd overspend, but with no way to see exactly what cost is made for what client project by workspace/git/folder. There are some solutions out there but they don’t actually do a good job. The moment you multitask multiple projects at the same time, their cost tracking don’t work anymore. That’s why I build Vibes to Bucks as a Cursor extension.

Sync AI cost to your accounting software to invoice to clients
If you are a freelancer or small agency like me, this goes a step further than that. I integrated various accounting software such as Xero, Intuit QuickBooks, Harvest, Moneybird and many more to come.
You map a workspace/git/folder ones to a client project synced from your accounting software. And then daily Vibes to Bucks will automatically (or manually if you prefer) sync AI cost using your rate to your time sheet, ready for invoicing. It will use your commit messages to summarize the work description it reports with the time tracking to your accounting software. Supporting many languages and 30 currencies.
Decide your profit margin on AI spend and make a profit on client work
Not just cost as is. You can also set a multiplier. E.g. for every 10 usd of Cursor cost incurred for a client you bill them 5x, so 50 usd for the productivity/product. Now you can actually make a profit by using Cursor more for a client! It’s a win win really and makes it that you get rewarded for your productivity increase using AI.
Just the cost tracking per workspace works out of the box and is free.
Syncing to accounting software is a Pro feature, but so cheap, a year subscription is cheaper than half a day of AI coding.
I think this is very useful for all freelancers and small agencies using Cursor for client work. And the free version a no-brainer to use for anyone using Cursor and just wants to keep track how much each project is costing you.
