After identifying a "linter error" Cursor always stops working

When working on the code sometimes a “linter error” appears. That is correct and there is set “resolve automatically” but it does not do it.
It keeps “generating” but nothing happens.
I can also prompt “continue”, which is helping with other interrupting issues, but nothing happen.s
Also resolving the error manually does not change it’s mind.

Just rollback to 0.45 sir. I just did that too, the latest versions are unfortunately not that well right now

Same issues and any subsequent question and prompt don’t succeed. Just gets stuck and code is broken and have to restore to checkpoint hoping next prompt succeeds better. :face_exhaling:

I now updated to .47 and it seems to work. At least once it happened to apologize „for all the linter errors and try to solve them“. And it proceeded.

Same problem with version .48.7

Same problem with version .48.8 as well.

This has been an ongoing issue for some time. Under related topics here, it looks like it’s pretty common issue unfortunately and there doesn’t seem to be a real solution. To fix this I usually need to resolve the linter error manually and start a new chat. Any new chats with the linter error does not work either so it needs to be resolved prior to starting another chat, but in addition to that, the current chat stops working regardless of whether the error has been fixed or not so I have to start a new chat. I’ve never been able to use the “Fix Linter” from within the code.

What happened to me recently is, I forgot to look at the cursor ui and the tool got a time out after a very long period. That kind of solved the problem. After that I could go on in this chat. At the moment it is actually working.

That’s interesting. It does eventually time out for me as well, but it continues to do so.
