:white_check_mark: Check the forum to ensure the issue hasn’t been reported already

It has been reported repeatedly but problem is still not solved.

:lady_beetle: Provide a clear description of the bug

Whenever entering a prompt, the agent is stuck on “Generating” without ever responding. I’ve tried a new chat with and without agent. The default model replied but I can’t really use that option.

I’ve tried restarting Cursor.

I’ve tried rebooting the computer.

I’ve tried loading older chats.

I’ve tried opening up the workspace file again, to no avail.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: Explain how to reproduce the bug (if known)

Can’t give an exact answer, it happens rarely.

Edit**

When I think of it, there was a “Linter error” before crashing! And have not been able to resume my project since. It’s been several hours!

:prohibited: Tell us if the issue stops you from using Cursor.

I’m not a programmer so I really, really need to use Cursor to continue developing my project. Spent probably 3-400 hours on it so far and are very close to be able to launch it!

I just need to add that I uninstalled the client, and removed %appdata% folders and made a clean install and now I’m back at it.

If anyone else has the same problem.

Inconvenient solution. But it worked for me!
