Same problem. Also using Chat GPT Codex Max on Mac. Switched to Grok and it worked…but now I can’t find my plan anywhere and also my prior chat threads aren’t working on any of my conversations. it’s like my chat history is suddenly corrupted which would be okay if the plan didn’t seem to be missing.
Latest update just dropped. Installed and this issue is now resolved for me.

I just installed the latest update and unfortunately I am still having this issue. I tried running with –disable-extensions and I am still seeing the problem.

I’ve just installed the latest update, and now this is happening with every model with “Edit write permission denied:”. This is very frustrating. Cursor just became unusable.

Do you have any hooks that could be causing this behavior? The issues above with approval go through a different UI
I encountered this yesterday on my Mac too - using Grok not using GPT based models (after the free allowance stopped after 11th) so may not be related but I got around by adding a Cursor rule to use sed for small diffs (which seems to fix most of the hanging I was seeing in trivial patches).
