Describe the Bug
Whenever I send a query to the agent, it freezes and doesn’t respond. There’s no issue with my internet or system performance (MacBook Pro M1 Pro, 16 GB RAM). I’ve checked Activity Monitor, and there’s no unusual RAM usage. It happens even with simple, short queries — no long context or chats involved.
As shown in the attached screenshot, the agent gets stuck mid-process. The only way to proceed is to manually stop and re-run the request. Would appreciate any help or insight into resolving this.

Steps to Reproduce
Open Cursor AI on MacBook Pro (M1 Pro, 16 GB RAM).
Start a new chat or open an existing one.
Enter a simple query (e.g., “Convert this JavaScript function to TypeScript”).
Wait for the response — the agent freezes and doesn’t proceed.
Check Activity Monitor — RAM usage appears normal.
The only workaround is to stop the process and ask the question again.
