Describe the Bug

I setup “CMD + .” shortcut that toggles Ask mode without opening new window. I tried to do the same for agent mode and it just refuses to work. It always always opens new chat window in agent mode. I NUKED everything on CMD + . / - commands and it still doesnt change crap.

It is behaving differently then the keybinding menu suggests.

Steps to Reproduce

Setup keybindings for Open Chat in Ask mode and Agent mode.
Ask mode should be able to toggle itself inside current active chat, Agent mode always opens new chat tab.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

hi @MichalKrsik and thank you for the bug report.

Could you clarify if you set the same shortcut for both Ask and Agent? They may need to be different.

Same issue here. Since the 1.4 update, the ‘open chat in agent mode’ shortcut always opens a new chat instead of opening chat in the existing chat window. I had to revert back to 1.3.9.

I am using different shortcuts for Edit mode and Agent mode. When I press the Edit mode shortcut, it performs correctly. But when I press the Agent mode shortcut, it opens a new chat.

hi @vibrant_sutherland you can check in Settings > Keyboard shortcuts for Agent and new chat or new tab shortcuts and change them if they overlap

they have already set different keys :frowning:
