Agent output scrolling sometimes breaks when using multi-model generation

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Agent output scrolling sometimes breaks when using multi-model generation. You can’t use the scroll wheel or even grab the scroll bar.

Steps to Reproduce

I’ve been getting it more for the past two weeks (some update back then I’d imagine), but it generally happens when I use multi-model to generate reviews/reports. One of the outputs will be non scrollable meaning I can’t scroll back up and read what it wrote. I can usually get it to work again by either restarting the IDE or sending another message. Sometimes it just works again randomly. No clue, but it didn’t use to happen.

Expected Behavior

Ability to read the message

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. Issues with scrolling in the agent chat panel are a known bug area, and the team is aware and tracking it.

What’s interesting about your case is that scrolling breaks completely (neither the mouse wheel nor the scrollbar works). In most other reports, it’s about auto-scroll stopping from following new content. To help us dig in:

  1. Can you record a short video when the bug happens? That’ll help confirm whether this is different from the known auto-scroll issues.
  2. Which exact models are you using in multi-model generation?

For now, the workaround you already found (restarting the IDE or sending a new message) is basically the only one at the moment.

Let me know if you manage to catch it on video.
