Agent review (Accept/ Deny) seems to be broken

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

As of today morning, edits by the agent seem to be automatically accepted.

This means there is no accept/deny button anymore and also no overview of the changes. For a brief moment, I can see the “Review next file” button appear, but then it almost immediately disappears.

This means the only way to review agent changes is now Git.

I already restarted the IDE twice and checked for updated, just to be sure.

Seriously, this series of issues is starting to become really frustrating.

Steps to Reproduce

Ask the model to make any changes to a file. See attached screenshot with a simplified example.

Expected Behavior

Review buttons should appear and stay on screen

Additional Information

I can’t find any limitation this is now applying to all my edits. If I’m missing a setting that I accidentally activated, please let me know. But I couldn’t find anything.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Okay, so interestingly, this only seems to apply to YAML files. When making changes to other file types, the apply/review button is still available and works normally (inside the same repo, same session).

Hey, thanks for the report and for noting it’s specific to YAML files - that’s really helpful.

To continue the investigation, please share:

  • Request ID: chat menu (top right) → Copy Request ID
  • Console errors: Help → Toggle Developer Tools → Console - screenshot any errors when the Review button disappears
  • Confirm: are the changes actually applied to the file (do you see the unsaved indicator)?

This looks like a file‑type‑specific bug in v2.0.69. There’s a similar report in another thread, so I’ll likely escalate this to the engineering team once we gather the diagnostics.

Sorry, it’s currently very busy on my side.

The issue only happens occasionally, but mainly with text files like .yaml or.conf.

There is a lot happening in the console as well, but these look most related. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the console errors - super helpful! The logs suggest the issue is related to how the Agent handles certain file types.

Since you shared screenshots and confirmed it mainly affects .yaml and .conf files, that’s enough to escalate. I’ll pass this to the team.

Temporary workaround: keep reviewing changes via Git for these file types.

Hi,
I experience the same problems as described above but also for .py and .xml files.
Usually after a promt I got the “review next file” button or “accept all/ undo all” button respectively.

But now when I do a prompt, I get none of those buttons. Also when I manually open the changed files, the buttons do not appear, nor the dif, which was usually shown while in the file.

I noticed, that this still works - but only if I am inside the file which is to be changed, before it is adjusted as outcome of my prompt. (might be a coincedence)

Prompt ID is 1f09ab6e-f19a-4197-b634-6d61f9fbc104
This seems related from console:

Best regards
