Cursor 1.6.45: Agent claims to make changes but no changes to accept

Describe the Bug

Agent says it’s making changes, but there are no code modifications and nothing to accept.

And Review changes link brings up 20 files where the changes are from ages ago and there is no possible way to accept the changes.

Steps to Reproduce

40e4db8b-6d17-4c07-8ca4-82709d3f5ded is the request idea so you can see the problem. It’s horrible. Sometimes it works and sometimes it thinks for a while and all the changes listed have no lines added or removed and no accept changes button.

Expected Behavior

it should be giving me changes to accept.

This is with chatgpt5 agent.

Thanks for the report. Can you try opening the files in the changes review please?
You can press the file name directly in the chat or in the review tab open press the > to expand them and see changes. Please let me know if this works.

If not, please try doing this in a fresh new chat.
Also, can you confirm if this happens only with GPT-5 or other models too (like Sonnet 4?)

i just upgraded to the latest build today (1.7.11). Yes, the changes work in this release. I’m now using GPT-5-codex and it had the same problem with file modifications not happening showing me filename with just the dot and no line changes. Hopefully the upgrade to 1.7.11 will help

the Review changes shows me everything that changed from what i assume is the beginning of the chat. i guess if you’ve accept the current proposed changes, this is what you get. so if there are no proposed changes, you see everything since the start of the chat

I guess the solution is to run an old release because the latest release is delusional and thinks it has made changes and no changes are made.
