You removed the “codebase” button in the latest update. I understand that that’s because you want people to use the agent and that gets additional context automatically.
But then why not just get rid of “Ask”?
The possible problem with all of this is - if I had only been able to use “compose” in the past, I wouldn’t use cursor any more, it was that bad. (Funnily enough, the same happened with copilot - the “edit” results are much lower quality than code generated by chat.)
For now, I’m trying just to use agent and am crossing my fingers but it seems to me that you should pick a path and run with it. Either you give people the flexibility they’ve had up until now - then we need the “codebase” button back (having to add it via @ every time is just annoying). Or you offer nothing other than “agent”.
