Agent window opens on startup when it's turned off

Describe the Bug

Agent window opens on startup when it’s turned off in settings.
“Open Agents Window on Startup” is set to “Off” but every time I start Cursor it starts with Agents Window and I need to click IDE every time to start working.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Start Cursor, it opens Agents window
  • Change in settings “Open Agents Window on Startup” to “Off”
  • Close Cursor
  • Start Cursor again, Agents window is opened on startup but it should not open

Expected Behavior

Agents window should not open if its turned off in settings.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report.

Before quitting, try switching to a normal IDE window, not the Agents Window, then quit Cursor from there with Cmd+Q. On the next start, it should restore whichever window was last active. Let me know if that helps. If not, we can dig in further.

I am on the latest version and this bug is annoying and still not patched its opening agents window everytime please fix.
