/agents PWA not able to choose branch on repository

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Somewhere else…

Describe the Bug

In the cloud agent PWA, after connecting github and choosing a repo, I am unable to choose a branch, which prevents me from sending prompts to the cloud agent.
It doesn’t work on my Samsung galaxy A53, not in firefox, chrome or installed PWA. It works on my laptop, so it’s a hardware related issue, not account or git connection.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Get Samsung
  • Visit https://cursor.com/agents
  • Register and connect github
  • cry because you really wanted to make changes to your projects on the go during personal downtime and thought you finally found the right tool

Expected Behavior

Automatically find branches and choose main, then be able to pick branches from the repo

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

No versioning on Pwa

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey there.

Take a look at this thread.

Are you using (Legacy) Privacy Mode?

Thanks for the reply!

Sadly there are no devtools on mobile browsers (at least not on android browsers)

Also I am not using incognito mode.

I have gotten it to work on mobile on one account by starting a conversation on laptop and then opening the conversation on mobile. That also somehow kickstarted other repositories to unlock their branches…

However I still cannot get it to work on my second (private) cursor/git sccount where I couldn’t use a PC yet.

Same phone, same app, different account.

Not quite what I’m talking about!

Your privacy mode setting (for Cursor, not your browser) can be found in https://cursor.com/dashboard?tab=settings

Oh, haha :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: my bad.

Yes, I am using legacy privacy mode.

However, I just got branches to work by Uninstalleing and reinstalling & authorizing cursor from my github.

I guess I should switch to updated privacy mode anyways, to avoid more unintended behaviors?

Thank you for your help!

I also had this same problem on iPhone 12 where I was unable to select branches. Following @Colin ‘s suggestion, I checked the Privacy mode and the legacy option was active. I switched to the “Share Data” option and now I am able to select branches.
