AI Assistant Only Sees One Commit Despite Multiple Commits Provided in Context

Description:

When providing multiple commits to the AI assistant for analysis, the assistant only recognizes and processes a single commit instead of all the commits that were supposedly provided in the context.

Expected Behavior:

  • AI assistant should be able to see and analyze all commits provided in the context

  • When asked “How many commits do you have in context?”, it should return the correct count of all provided commits

Actual Behavior:

  • AI assistant only sees 1 commit

  • Reports only having 1 commit in context when multiple commits were supposedly provided

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Provide multiple commits to the AI assistant context

  2. Ask the assistant “How many commits do you have in context?”

  3. Observe that it only reports seeing 1 commit

Additional Notes:

  • It’s common to every models.
