The same just happened to me too.
I’m “Pro $20/month” user, how to fix it.

I getting this error too: “Anthropic cannot sustain additional slow request traffic on Claude 3.5 Sonnet. Please enable usage-based pricing or try again with a different model (like gpt-4o).”

Don’t know what to do… GPT 4o is not good enough.

I just encountered the exact same problem as you, and it seems to have just happened. Isn’t it possible to have a slow request? Why was there suddenly a restriction?

Yep, same here. Hopefully this isn’t something new where they are going to limit 3.5 Sonnet to only work with fast requests. That would really ■■■■!

Doesn’t the pro subscription have unlimited requests? I started getting this error today :frowning:

same error here, has the cursor changed the slow API for NOT unlimited slow requests?

Getting the same here. Paid for a full year of “unlimited premium slow requests”. This doesn’t seem unlimited.

Hey Cursor Dev here, Anthropic literally cannot sustain all of Cursor’s traffic as they do not have enough GPUs. It’s really frustrating and we’re working with them as they increase their capacity.

Thank you for the reply! I appreciate it.

We’re at peak traffic now, and it should subside within 1 hour.

So this is a long term problem then?

Isn’t it a bit weird that traffic from Cursor alone can bring Anthropic’s slow pool to its knees? I’m not saying I doubt the massive volume of traffic due to cursor’s robust reputation and speedy fixes, improvements, and comprehensive update logs, but really?
