"Anthropic is experiencing a partial outage right now. To avoid downtime, we've temporarily fallen back to an OpenAI model."

Anthropic isn’t experiencing a partial outage, why am I getting this error? I also don’t get this error with API.

I get the same message. However, according to Anthropic itself, all is fine.

Seemingly there was an issue yesterday, though:

Same. Using Anthropic API all is working fine

The issue yesterday with anthropic lasted 15 minutes. Annoying to have a tool you pay for broken like this. OpenAI’s is not a valid fallback, the model is considerably worse!

Same here

I am having the issue now. Seems like it has nothing to do with Anthropic—API working fine.

Agree. I don’t want to use OpenAI’s 4o, which is why I deactivated it.

Don’t fallback to any model unless I approve.
I don’t like wasting fast generations on models I don’t want to work with.

The effect of the downgrade is really poor; it has become almost worthless.
