just got an update from Anthropic, seems like they’ve fixed the issue!
We love cursor <3
Thank you very much
I like Cursor
Strange wave of new users
I think the issue is not solved 100%, see
That’s great, but it would be great to have a warning in Cursor that the model I’m working on has problems and to ask if I want to switch to another model before giving for granted I want to proceed with the request to GPT4 or other as a fallback.
I personally rather work my self on the code, than use GPT4.
The only way I have to check if everything is back to normal is perform a request just to get a warning that Anthropic API is down and proceed to change without consent to another model.
This is a waste of fast generations.
I hope you see and understand this.
You should see my chat panel - impossible to copy anything useful as ChatGPT keeps repeating itself.
Love you! Thank you!
Still experiencing “Connection failed” Every two requests.
Still getting “Anthropic is experiencing a partial outage right now. To avoid downtime, we’ve temporarily fallen back to an OpenAI model.” This is extremly frustrating.
Appreciate the work on this this issue
just wanted to give a quick update to everyone here that anthropic is seeing some errors again - will let you know when it’s resolved!
Should these downtimes be represented on Anthropic’s status page?
Could you please stop doing the following:
Anthropic is experiencing a partial outage right now. To avoid downtime, we’ve temporarily fallen back to an OpenAI model.
I do not wish to avoid downtime. I would prefer the system to be unavailable rather than have my data sent to OpenAI.
Why am I being forced to send data to OpenAI when I have explicitly deactivated all OpenAI models in my settings?
This practice seems like a clear breach of user trust, and it raises significant privacy concerns.
Assuming that the error in Cursor is accurate, yes. However, that’s probably a lot to assume.
Again today!!! Anyone else “Anthropic isn’t experiencing a partial outage, why am I getting this error? I also don’t get this error with API.” ???
I have decided to cancel my subscription after repeatedly encountering issues with using Anthropic models through Cursor. I feel that Cursor is not yet mature enough to justify the $20 monthly investment. I will continue to monitor Cursor’s development and hope the team can address its current shortcomings.
In the meantime, I will return to using the VSCode+Continue configuration, which has proven to be more reliable and better suited to my needs. Additionally, I may explore other open-source alternatives like Zed or the upcoming Void
Did this happen to you although you turned off open-ai models in the setting?
