After sleeping over it - we actually kind of have it. The apply model is superfast, and does a correct job almost always.
Not sure if fast edit mode applies to Cmd-K, Chat, and Compose?
I believe Fast Edits is a version of our speculative edits algorithm that Anthropic has implemented. We should have access shortly, but I’m suspicious it will be faster/cheaper than the version we’re serving.

Just reviving this feature request to better integrate with Anthropic with their “Prompt Caching” would be amazing to have with Cursor. Especially if it can be integrated the way the Zed demos show, where the equivalent of Cursor’s apply works very fast (fast edit). (See demo.)
We also worked with Anthropic to optimize Zed for implement their new Prompt Caching beta, leading to lightning-fast responses even with thousands of lines of code included in the context window while reducing cost.
