Cursor to offer Sonnet 3.5 access from Github Copilot

Currently, Cline offers the possibility to call Sonnet 3.5 through the VS Code LM API (exposed by Github Copilot).

I want to have this feature to avoid the “slow” requests…

Could Cursor offer this ?

you just need to setup your anthropic API key in the settings. You must have an anthropic account with API access and payments setup. I don’t use copilot because it can’t do 90% of what Cursor can.

I don’t want to pay Anthropic.
I pay Copilot which exposes Sonnet 3.5, and I want Cursor to use it :wink:

Copilot’s Sonnet 3.5 will be using Anthropic’s API, the same as we do.

While I appreciate this seems like a good workaround for how long the queues are with Claude, we would not be able to use GitHub’s LLM system for Cursor.
