Anyone Else Noticing Strange Things After 1.5?

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

It’s been about 3–4 months since I last used Cursor. A few days after coming back, I noticed something strange:

I can’t review any PRs locally in the chat anymore. It seems like the fetch_pull_request tool has been removed — no @pr, no @commit.

Previously, I could just ask:

“review PR #313

And Cursor would fetch it and review it. Now it just searches randomly between files and the internet without actually fetching the PR.

Can someone confirm:

  • Was fetch_pull_request intentionally removed after 1.5?

  • Or is this just a bug / temporary fix in progress?

Steps to Reproduce

As I mentioned

Expected Behavior

Getting the pr changes and reviews locally in the chat.

Screenshots / Screen Recordings

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: 1.5.9

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey, unfortunately, we’ve temporarily disabled PR indexing due to the feature causing client memory issues. The team are currently investigating how to resolve this, but during this time, PR integration will remain unavailable.

Was there some notification about this? I spent a lot of time troubleshooting…

There was not, apologies for that.

We’re hoping to get it available soon, but a notification somewhere that this was disabled would’ve definitely been useful, at the very least to save you some time!
