Anysphere's remote-SSH connection failure:Connection to Cursor server failed: Couldn't install Cursor Server, install script returned non-zero exit status

After testing, the development machine can successfully establish a remote connection using VS Code.

However, when using Cursor’s anysphere’s remote-ssh for remote connection, an error occurs after entering the password:
“Connection to Cursor server failed: Couldn’t install Cursor Server, install script returned non-zero exit status: Error downloading server from https://cursor.blob.core.windows.net/remote-releases/96e5b01ca25f8fbd4c4c10bc69b15f6228c80770/vscode-reh-linux-x64.tar.gz.

I found online that others with the same issue resolved it by downgrading Cursor to version 0.48(like https://forum.cursor.com/t/when-cursor-tries-to-connect-to-the-server-it-keeps-displaying-downloading-vs-code-server-but-it-can-be-connected-quickly-and-easily-on-vscode-whats-wrong/99023). However, the anysphere’s remote-ssh in version 0.48 is useless.

When I tried using MS’s ssh-remote, it directly failed with:
“Could not establish connection to ‘ip’.”
This might be due to the company’s development machine not supporting it.

In conclusion, I couldn’t resolve this issue.I have tried cursor0.48,0.50 and 1.0

Hi @yllwDg463, could you share the full logs from the “Remote - SSH” output window?

If your remote server requires a proxy to access the internet, you’ll need to first configure this in the settings:
