My name is Eng. Mansour Bin Khalid :saudi_arabia:, a professional software engineer from Saudi Arabia, and a proud Cursor Pro subscriber.

I’m submitting this feature request on behalf of the growing Arabic-speaking developer community across the Middle East and North Africa. Our goal is to bring full Arabic language support to Cursor IDE, built on solid engineering, international standards, and intelligent tooling.

:brain: Why Arabic Support Matters

  • Arabic is the native language of over 400 million people.
  • The tech ecosystem in the GCC, especially Saudi Arabia, is expanding rapidly with high interest in AI-driven development.
  • Cursor is already the most intelligent and futuristic development environment — and supporting Arabic would make it the first AI IDE to offer full RTL and Arabic-native capabilities.

  • RTL-compatible user interface (menus, chat, and editor flow)
  • Arabic language support for smart agents (prompts, analysis, code generation)
  • Enable community-driven translations (open string resources or plugin-based support)
  • Arabic-friendly documentation and command examples
  • Seamless support for Arabic text in code comments, outputs, and user input

This is not just a language enhancement. It’s an architectural move to make Cursor accessible, globally inclusive, and technically superior in localization. Supporting Arabic means:

  • Enabling right-to-left layout logic
  • Extending tokenization and parsing for non-Latin scripts
