Hey, thanks for the feature request. UI localization is on our radar, but we don’t have a specific timeline for full multi-language support yet.
As a partial workaround, Cursor inherits VS Code system language packs. You can install a language pack extension (for example Chinese, Japanese, Spanish) from the Marketplace and then change the display language via Configure Display Language in the Command Palette. The base UI will be translated, but Cursor-specific parts (Composer, Agent mode, etc.) will stay in English for now since they aren’t covered by those packs.
For tracking, there are already a few similar threads where community interest is being collected. Feel free to upvote them so the team can see the overall demand:
- Add support for Chinese
- Arabic Language Support 🇸🇦 – Full Interface, RTL, and Smart Agent
- Spanish language support (app + website)
- Add RTL for chat
