Architect mode in Cursor

Is it possible to implement an “architect” mode similar to the one in aider? I’ve tried to achieve this in Cursor using prompts, but it’s not very effective due to the limitation of not being able to choose specific models for different task types within Cursor.

Currently, I’m using o1 as an architect and deepseek v3 as an editor in aider, and this combination is incredibly powerful.

I would very much like to see similar functionality implemented in Cursor.

Im really interested in how to set this up – can you provide more details? I have not used Aider - but would like to have your output from having your Architect o1 reply to:

“Please provide a detailed .rmd on the Archtect Role for o1 with DeepSeek as an Editor Agent for Code Compose. Please provide detailed guide in most effectively using this scaffold”
