Architect Mode in Cursor?

One of the features that I love using in Aider/Cline/Roo-Cline is their architect mode before switching to write mode to make changes to the code.

It would be nice to have a feature similar to this in Cursor where you can architect, and then make the changes as described.

One of the most significant issues in using AI tools is ensuring you and the model are on the same page (there could be misalignment in prompt, context, etc.). Architect mode allows you to iterate with the model so that it implements the changes you want, not what it thinks you want.

Is there any chance we could see this in Cursor?

See Aider’s post on Architect mode to show the performance diff

Temporarily, using a manual approach could work(lets test it): Plan/Act instruction + changing model to Claude when sending Act

Awesome thank you! Glad to see that this is being discussed. I’m sure the devs have noticed and hopefully we’ll get this feature baked in.
