During a long thinking session with agent (Cursor CLI) and Claude Opus 4.6 1M Thinking, I saw about 1k token of “are”'s get dumped into the thinking.

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue. During thinking sessions the model can get stuck in a degenerative loop and start repeating the same word. We saw this before on other models like DeepSeek and Codex, and now it’s happening on Opus 4.6 Thinking too.

The team is aware of this class of bugs. For now the workaround is if you see thinking looping, hit Ctrl+C and rerun the request.

Let me know if it keeps happening often.
