Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

hi @Krishna_Jha, thank you for sharing all the details and the screenshot.

I have filed this with our team so they can investigate the Auto mode agent loop you are seeing (the repeated “natural… care…” text while it is thinking).

A couple of things that can help us debug this faster:

  • Try to keep each chat focused on a single, well scoped task; very long or mixed topic conversations with a huge amount of context are more likely to trigger this kind of model issues.
  • When this happens again, please temporarily disable Privacy Mode in Cursor, try to reproduce the issue and copy the Request ID that appears for that run into your reply here. Our engineers rely on the Request ID to look directly at the logs for your specific request.

Same error here, privacy mode is already setted to share data.

Here is the request ID: dc006367-4180-47eb-8f96-8e7640f3ff20
Here is another request ID: c2f18f66-cff5-485b-8395-f7707727a2a1

it appears to only happen on auto, opus 4.6 works great.

same here . happened for the first time. googled and came to this thread.

Reporting the same issue here. An older chat started to do it, I opened a new chat and it worked for a minute then devolved into natural spam. Happened to be using Cursor on Windows 11 at the time. Model set to auto

The same issue is happening with me.

has anyone seen this

Thank you all for posting your cases as well. If possible please include a Request ID with privacy disabled as that helps us to narrow down the causes and speeds up reproduction process.

#same
I’ve seen it in different projects, different sessions and now I’m getting the same results from my co-workers as well.
(windows, auto mode, im blaming the composer model)

Same here on Mac OS. Started about an hour ago or so.
Stopping and retrying works sometimes, but often result in the same behaviour. The agent is also unusually slow and often shows “Taking longer than expected”. This is true for auto, Opus 4.6 on the other hand works fine.

#same for me.

It started on few requests and now for every request

ERROR: BUG → natural natural natural

This is happening to me as well, in plan mode. I let the agent run in the background and it ate up 11% of my usage, just writing ‘natural natural natural’.

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Cursor writes “natural” several times in its thinking output and while doing this it writes the same lines over and over in the code files.

Steps to Reproduce

Not sure, I just started using the agent this morning and it started doing this on it’s own. It does it about 50% of the time with no apparent trigger

Expected Behavior

To work as expected

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the reports. We’re investigating this. In the meantime, manually selecting a specific model should allow you to keep working.

We’ll update here when there’s more to share!

Hi everyone!

Could you please try Auto again and let us know if the issue is resolved?

Has been working for me for the last few prompts now at least. Thanks!
