Call it Ultra+, I don’t care. What I would love is Ultra but double the limits.
Bro , can you buy me a 20$ account ? I am really poor . ![]()
Hey, thanks for the feedback! I get why you’d want a higher fixed plan.
Right now, the Ultra plan ($200/month + $400 included usage) switches to automatic on-demand billing after you use up the included amount, at the same rates, with no service interruption. We don’t have any plans between Ultra and enterprise options yet.
I’ll pass your request to the team for a higher individual plan. Roughly how much do you spend on usage per month (including on-demand)?
Related thread: We need another plan over Ultra
I can tell you how much I spent this month (which is the reason I posted this):
- used up all of the included $400
- used up all of the $125 free usage ( thanks, by the way
) - now I’m at $127 of on-demand usage and growing (usage renewal date is the 7th of each month)
If it matters for your internal metrics somehow, I’m an experienced developer (years of experience) and I find your product insanely useful (and this is putting it mildly). I’d happily pay more for a bigger plan.
So to be clear @deanrie , there is no benefit to multiple ultra plans vs. one ultra plan and many overages? Context is that I have Ultra and consistently have >$1,000 in overages each month.
Hey! Right, there’s no financial advantage to having multiple Ultra subscriptions vs one subscription with overages. On-demand usage after you use up the included $400 is billed at the same API rates, so the total cost will be identical.
Ok so im not sure what “overages” means in this context, but let me get something straight: if I had 2 Ultra plans, I would pay $400 for $800 in tokens (+ the extra usage on you, but let’s ignore it for now).
But if I had only 1 Ultra plan and I spent the equivalent of $800, only $400 would be included in the cost of the plan, and the rest $400 would be billed at API provider rates, which I would pay for.
So:
- with 2 Ultra plans, I pay $400 to get $800 of value
- with 1 Ultra plan, I pay $600 to get $800 of value
So there is a clear financial advantage to having 2 Ultra plans as a power user.
Am I missing something? Again, I’m not sure what “overages” means.
Good question! Let’s break it down:
Ultra plan structure: $200/mo base + $400 included usage
Your math:
- 2 Ultra plans (if that were possible): $400 base = $800 included usage
- 1 Ultra + $400 overage: $200 base + $400 overage = $600 total for $800 usage
Technically you’re right. In theory, 2 subscriptions would be better value. But you can’t have 2 Ultra subscriptions on the same account.
“Overages” are usage above the included $400. Once you use up the $400 included usage, any extra usage is billed automatically at the same API rates, with no service interruption.
I shared your request for an Ultra+ plan with the team. That’s exactly what would solve this for power users spending $600+/mo.
Thanks you for your answer!
I’m well aware that 2 Ultra subscriptions are not possible on the same account, which is why I believe lots of power users have multiple accounts on which they’re paying for the existing Ultra plan
.
I hope you guys are making ROI on your AI slop, else all of these plans are liabilities.
You don’t know who you’re talking to. Sit down.
