Good morning, folks!
As a user, I would like to add selected code and respective lines as AI context to the chat. Are you aware of such functionality? I prefer not to click the chat button each time.
When I select some text in the editor, a small popup appears. It offers the “Add to chat” option and I think it also lists a shortcut underneath, something like Ctrl-shift-L I think
Yep, that’s absolutely correct. ![]()
By any chance, don’t we have a checkbox to make it appear without having to press “Add to chat” button or Ctrl-shift-L ? Thanks.
Do you mean you’d like any selected text to automatically be added to the chat without having to press anything additional? I don’t think there is such an option, but I imagine it’s possible to create an autohotkey script to automatically press the add to chat shortcut, or possibly assign a key for selecting and adding to chat automatically upon releasing the select key/button
Yes, that is exactly what I mean.
Why was this marked as resolved? This is NOT in chat, it’s in other areas. What I would like is IN THE CURRENT chat if the agent asks me 5 questions and I want to answer 1, then I can highlight it and I answer it in the input. Warp does this VERY well.
