The ultimate workflow unlock would be a “New Chat/Composer With Context” button. This would start a new compose agent chat with summarized context from your previous chat, and it would also add all the files you had selected in the previous chat into the new composer/chat.
You could also just add the option to start a new chat with the same files selected - that alone would be a game changer.
I’m starting to lose my mind @'ing every file with every new chat I make - especially knowing how “easy” it should be to keep the file context when creating a new chat.
I really think that just adding this option would save API costs as well. People would be much more likely to start new chats when context gets long if they had this option available.
Please devs. Thank you for everything you do, but I need this one yesterday
Hey, this feature is already in version 0.45. If you haven’t received it yet, just wait, you’ll be able to reference your chat history. The only thing missing is the ability to add your previous files, but we might add this option in the future.
or at least allow us to create Notepads directly from the files selected in the context, that would be great as well, and also reusable.
You could combine both by first saving all the files of the previous context in an auto generated notepad then add this notepad directly to the new chat.
